Harmony/Peace at Unstampabelles

The UnstampaBelles March challenge is Harmony and/or Peace with the optional twist of incorporating flight in your project.

You can link up your projects until the end of the month, but remember that you can't use ANY STAMPS (digi or otherwise).

I decided to make a card with the theme of "under the same moon". The card design was inspired by this gorgeous Angle card by Crafty Sunflower. I used the star border by Bird to create my own angle card in SCAL. I cut it from a thick cardstock that's glittered on one side & white on the other, and painted the entire white side with Tumbled Glass distress ink. I made white panels using the same template, and inked them individually.

Card Closed with Belly Band
The moon circle is cut from the same sparkly blue paper as the card base. I embossed it with my BigShot, covered it with silver ink & sprinkled it with shiny powder and melted it with my heat tool. This worked great, but it did smoke a bit!

The cityscapes were cut from a shiny white paper with a Silhouette file; I used the flat-white side for the smaller piece. I inked them with a red brick ink.

The ocean was made with some die cuts by SVG Attic (my tutorial is here). The sand is simply Brown Sugar embossing powder. The starfish are by Paperscissorsink and were inked orange.

The grass on the first panel is the decoration that comes with sushi.

The birds are from the Birds of Earth & Sky die from Cheery Lynn Designs (purchased from Sweet Stamps), except for the chicken, which is a Silhouette cut file. They are cut from shiny white papers and colored with Copic markers.

The sentiments were created in SCAL and cut from a glittery black vinyl. The "Together" is on a piece of wood tape cut with a banner die.

I'm entering this card into Crafty Gals Corner Fancy Folds Challenges.

Be sure to check out the fabulous projects by my teamies and hope you'll join us this month at UnstampaBelles!
